Description
The work is based on the idea of a manuscript page that has as its point of interest the symbol of St. Mark. He is associated with the lion because he would have narrated the miracles and his voice would have resounded in the desert like that of a lion. The winged lion, in addition to embodying the image of St. Mark, is also a symbol of Venice because Mark is declared the patron of the city. His image can be seen everywhere in Venice.
